Transformation
A path toward optimum physical & mental health
I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. As a child, I suffered from asthma and had to use inhalers filled with steroids because of my passion for athletics. By the time I turned 16, I weighed nearly 160 lbs, and by my freshman year of college, I had crossed the 200 lb mark. At only 5'2, my ideal weight was between 120-135 lbs. When I was 26, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, pre-diabetes, dacryocystitis, and severe allergies. This diagnosis inspired me to take control of my health and avoid more surgery.
After months of research, I discovered that inflammation was the common thread linking all of my health issues. I realized that my body was severely inflamed due to a combination of poor nutrition, trauma, and lack of awareness. Determined to turn my health around, I overhauled my diet and exercise routine, learning to eat and live with my organs in mind. I used food and nature to provide the nutrients and vitamins I needed to boost my immune system.
I visited my doctors and specialists for updated tests, and to my delight, I no longer needed surgery. I lost 70 lbs in the process and started to reverse the aging process. Even at 35 years old, I feel younger every year.
I am incredibly grateful that everything I need to maintain optimum physical and mental health is already provided by nature. Fruits and vegetables, water, and sunlight are all essential for our well-being and longevity.
My Lifestyle
My daily habits and routine
My daily routine prioritizes self-care, and I strive to incorporate healthy habits every day. I aim to work out twice a day, choosing activities such as walking, biking, running, or indoor workouts. While I prefer outdoor exercise, I make sure to get at least one outdoor workout each day to benefit from vitamin D from sunlight.
I drink 60-80 oz of water daily and listen to my body's signals to determine when I need more. Rather than sipping water throughout the day, I drink intentionally to stay hydrated. I recommend selecting quality spring or alkaline water, and encourage others to research the best brands at their local grocer or online. For a more detailed breakdown of the best options, check out our courses.
My daily diet consists of 1-2 meals comprised of whole, nourishing foods. I've found that intermittent fasting allows my body to recover and restore. I minimize my consumption of alcohol and processed foods, adhering to the 88% rule.
To maintain my well-being, I prefer natural remedies such as essential oils, plant medicine, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. I avoid chemical medicine and its associated negative side effects.
My spiritual and mental health is equally important to me. I practice journaling, meditation, and daily connections with others. These habits allow me to tap into deeper elements that contribute to my overall wellness and self-care routine.
